General Description

The Moray House School of Education is funding one PhD studentship linked to the Bell Chair of Education, Professor Lani Florian, and her work in the area of social and educational inclusion. The studentship will cover the UK/EU tuition fee and a stipend of £12300 (currently about 15375 euro) per annum and is tenable for three years. A research allowance of £500 in years two and three following successful progression from year one will be awarded to the successful applicant.

Requirements

The studentship is available to students of any nationality who have been accepted, or have applied for a relevant full-time PhD programme in the field of education at the University of Edinburgh. The student will have a strong background in social science relating to the study of education, social justice, teacher education, special education or critical pedagogy. The studentship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. In cases where academic merit is equal, prior experience and references will be considered.
