About this scholarship
General Description
The Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS)wants to attract the best and brightest students from all over the world to pursue their PhD studies in Hong Kong. Funding comes from the Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC). Students may be awarded monthly stipend of HK$14,100, Conference and Research related travel allowance of HK$10,000, or a tuition waver or full scholarship. Combination of the mentioned is also possible.
Requirements
Students can apply regardless of country of origin or ethnical background, but will be judged on demonstrate outstanding qualities of academic performance, research ability / potential, communication and interpersonal skills, and leadership abilities. Also a master's degree from a recognized university or comparable institution; or any other qualification deemed by the Graduate School to be acceptable for this purpose is required.
