The University of Hull offers the Robert Marchant String Scholarship awards to undergraduate music students who are first-study string players (currently limited to violin, viola, cello and double bass players). Each award is valued at £300 per year and may be held in addition to a University of Hull Scholarship or Bursary.
Applicants must be entering the School of Drama, Music, and Screen at the University of Hull. Duties of successful candidates include playing at official and informal occasions, participating in the University Orchestra & other ensembles, performing in recitals and masterclasses, and taking part in workshops for composers.
