The Carpenters Company Scholarship is offered by the Carpenters' Company of the City and County of Philadelphia,to students in financial need. This scholarship can be renewed for a maximum of four academic years.
The Scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student in his/her third or fourth year of an accredited degree programme in Architecture, Structural Engineering, or Construction Engineering/Management, as selected by the Company Scholarship Committee at its discretion. To be eligible, a student must be certified as having financial need by the Financial Aid Advisor at the school they are attending. The Scholarship may be renewed for up to a maximum of four academic years, or until the recipient's graduation from current degree programme; provided that the recipient continues as a full-time student in the accredited degree programme, maintaining an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.3. At the conclusion of each academic year, the recipient has to provide to the Company Scholarship Committee a letter from the dean of the degree program confirming that the recipient is a degree candidate in good standing. A student continuing from undergraduate to graduate level still pursuing the same career must re-apply.
