Ghent University - Finalizing PhD grants

General Description

The Finalizing PhD program offers PhD students a grant to complete their doctoral research and finalize their PhD. The grant is for a duration of 6 to 12 months. The value of the grant depends on the applicant’s personal and financial circumstances. The grant provides a monthly allowance of approximately € 1,850, as well as a bench fee of € 310 per month for the promoter.

Requirements

Candidates must be enrolled as a PhD student at Ghent University and/or have co-published work with a Ghent University professor. Candidates must show that their PhD research is clearly linked to Ghent University. Candidate must apply jointly with a promoter of Ghent University. Candidates must show that they have no other financial means to complete their PhD within 48 months. Candidates must defend their PhD at Ghent University. Candidates are not allowed to have a UGent appointment that lasts long enough to finalize the PhD. Candidates in receipt of other scholarship funding are not eligible. Candidates may only apply once.
