The German Historical Institute Paris (DHIP) supports up-and-coming history academics. To this end, it awards doctoral scholarships for students specialising in German-French relations, French history and West European history. The stipend package includes involvment in a DHIP research group and a research stay at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS). The value of the stipend is around 2,000 Euros and will be paid out over the entire duration of the PhD.
Eligible to apply are students studying for a PhD in history. Candidates must already have undertaken an appropriate amount of preliminary work for their thesis.
