Foundation Curamus

Foundation Curamus scholarship

You will receive a one-off grant to help you grow your business, averaging around 7,700 EUR. The exact amount depends on your business idea and your needs. You can use it for legal advice, to purchase a product that boosts your turnover, or to set up your online shop. Winners can also take part in the Curamus Academy, a series of training courses run in collaboration with the University of Borås (Högskolan i Borås). There, you will develop and present a project for your business, and for an approved project you will receive an additional 50,000 SEK (approximately 4,300 EUR). The Curamus Foundation (Stiftelsen Curamus) is based in Borås and has been supporting local entrepreneurs since 1999.

Who can apply

• You run or are starting a business: This is aimed at entrepreneurs, start-up founders and small business owners, not at students in general.
• Region: You live and work in Sjuhärad, that is, in Borås and the surrounding area.
• Your idea: You have a clear business idea that you would like to put into practice, and you have a plan and a set timeframe.
• Field: Any line of business is welcome, with a focus on trade, commerce and entrepreneurship.
• Age: Preference is given to younger entrepreneurs; however, this is merely a preference and not an exclusion criterion.

How to apply

You apply via the Foundation’s website with your business idea or project. Grants are awarded once a year. The Foundation’s board decides who receives a grant, and the winners are announced at the annual ‘Curamus Day’ (Curamusdagen) event in Borås.
