What the Aranmore Memorial Travelling Scholarships offered
This award enabled art students at the University of Edinburgh to use about 290 to 580 EUR (250 to 500 GBP) to undertake study and research placements in Europe within their respective fields of study. Up to six students were supported each year. The funding came from the University of Edinburgh and the Norman Kemp-Smith Memorial Fund. It was used to finance a research or study trip abroad related to their respective courses of study.
Who could apply
- University: You studied at the University of Edinburgh.
- Level: You were in your second or third year of university.
- Field of study: You have taken a degree course in the humanities at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
- Where you go: Your journey took you to Europe, where you travelled and carried out research in your own field of expertise.
- Nationality: Any nationality could apply.
