About this award / prize
Oxford University Press Pirye Prize
You win about 1,200 EUR (1,000 GBP) plus a commission. You design, make and show an artwork for a specific spot: the Oxford University Press Bookshop on Oxford's High Street. The Ruskin School of Art at the University of Oxford awarded the prize once a year. It was named after Dr Pirye, a 16th-century tenant of the site where the bookshop later stood.
