About this scholarship

Kaziewicz Bursary

You will receive £8,000 per year (about 9,200 EUR) for three years, amounting to a total of up to £24,000 (approximately 27,600 EUR). The money will help you cover your living costs whilst studying physics at University College London (UCL). It is awarded in addition to any UCL scholarships or other student grants you may already be receiving. UCL awards one scholarship per intake, which is paid out over the full three years, provided you make sufficient academic progress.

Who can apply

  • Degree: You are starting a full-time bachelor’s degree programme at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at UCL.
  • Offer: You have been offered a place for the academic year in question.
  • Where you live: You are considered a UK-based (domestic) student.
  • Household income: Your annual household income is less than £42,000 (approximately 48,300 EUR).
  • Financial need: You can provide evidence in your application that you need the money.

How to apply

You apply directly to UCL and include proof of your financial need with your application.

How realistic are your chances?

The target group is small: only students based in the UK who are starting a physics degree at UCL and who meet the income threshold are eligible to apply. UCL awards only one scholarship per intake, so competition within this group remains fierce. However, if you clearly meet the income and academic requirements and can provide strong evidence of your financial need, you have a genuine chance.
