What you get

You will receive a discount of 10% cut on your annual tuition fees on a Master’s programme at Leeds Metropolitan University. The discount applies for the entire duration of your studies. A taught postgraduate programme comprises regular lectures and examinations and, unlike a research-based programme, leads to a certified qualification. The university funds this discount for its own former students from its own resources. You can combine it with another university scholarship or a student grant, but only one discount per person applies.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You are enrolling on a new, accredited on-campus Master’s degree programme at Leeds Metropolitan University.
• Your background: You have obtained a bachelor’s degree (level 6) from Leeds Metropolitan University within the last five years, or you are employed by the university or one of its partner institutions.
• Field of study: Any subject is acceptable, provided that the degree programme leads to a recognised postgraduate qualification.
• Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
• Excluded courses: You cannot use it for PhDs and other research degrees, for academic achievements that are credited solely as credit points without a full degree, or for vocational courses charged at the rate applicable to Bachelor’s students (e.g. ACCA, CIM Prof Cert, IPR Advanced Cert).

How to apply

There is no separate form. The university calculates the discount automatically based on your application for the postgraduate programme and your academic records from your undergraduate studies, and then deducts it from your fees invoice.
