About this scholarship
What the Latin America Scholarship gives you
You get a cut in your tuition fees at Northumbria University London. For the 2026/2027 academic year, a postgraduate degree costs a flat 15,629 GBP (about EUR 18,000) after the scholarship, or 16,629 GBP (about EUR 19,100) for a course with Advanced Practice. If you first take the 12-week Pre-Sessional English course, you get 50% off its tuition fee. This is a fee discount, not a cash payment. Northumbria University London offers it.
Who can apply
- Where you are from: You are a national of a South or Central American or Caribbean country, such as Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela or a Caribbean island state.
- Who pays: You fund your own studies. If an outside sponsor pays for you, you cannot get this scholarship.
- Study level: You have a conditional offer for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at Northumbria University London. A conditional offer is a study place you get once you meet set conditions, such as final grades.
- No double funding: You cannot combine this with the university's Academic Merit Scholarship.
How to apply
There is no separate application. When you apply for a study place, the university checks automatically whether you qualify. If you do, the scholarship is listed in your offer letter. If you are unsure whether you qualify, send a question through the enquiry form on the university's website.
How realistic are your chances?
This is not a competition for a limited number of places. It is an automatic discount for anyone who fits the rules. If you are a self-funded applicant from one of the listed countries and hold an offer, you get it. The main hurdle is being admitted to the course and covering the remaining fees yourself, since even after the discount a postgraduate year costs around EUR 18,000.
