About this scholarship

What the Canon Collins/African Studies Scholarship covered

This was a fully-funded place on the one-year MSc in African Studies at the University of Oxford programme at St Antony’s College. This covered all university and college fees. In addition, a living allowance was provided to cover rent, food, utilities and everyday expenses during the 12 months of the programme. The funding came from the African Studies Centre in collaboration with the Canon Collins Trust, which has been supporting students from southern Africa since 1981.
