About this grant / loan
What you get
This was an information service provided by the University of Plymouth for the academic year 2013/14. It explained how part-time students could finance their higher education in the UK. From 2012 onwards, part-time students were no longer required to pay their tuition fees in advance. Instead, new students and most students already enrolled could apply for a government loan of around 709 EUR to cover their fees. Repayments do not begin until April 2016, and only if you earn more than 21,000 GBP per year. Existing part-time students with a household income below 28,066 GBP could retain an older option: a grant towards tuition fees and study costs instead of a loan, which you never have to repay.
This scheme only covered tuition fees. New part-time students did not receive any financial support towards their living costs.

Current status
This was a page about the 2013/14 UK funding guidelines for part-time students, not about a separate scholarship offered by the University of Plymouth. The university no longer lists this offer, so it is no longer available in this form. If you are currently studying part-time in the UK, you should apply for student finance through the current government student finance service.
