The scholarship covers your full tuition fees for the first year for the full-time Master’s programme in ‘Communication Design’ at Central Saint Martins, which is part of the University of the Arts London (UAL). It is named after Alan Fletcher, a British graphic designer who studied at this university. UAL funds the scholarship for students who would benefit from a Master’s degree programme but cannot afford it themselves.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is very limited. It applies to just one Master’s programme at Central Saint Martins, so only a small number of people are eligible for it. If you have been offered a place on the ‘MA Communication Design’ programme, can demonstrate a clear financial need and have very good grades, your chances are quite good. As only one or a few students receive this scholarship each year, a well-reasoned application is crucial.
