About this scholarship

What you get

Escape Studios in London is a college specialising in animation, games and visual effects. It awards scholarships which cover all or part of the tuition fees for its undergraduate degree programmes. Some scholarships cover the tuition fees for the entire first year of study, whilst others reduce the fees by a fixed amount. Several scholarships are awarded each year. The scholarships are awarded to the best portfolios and applications.

Eligibility

  • Degree level: You are applying for a Bachelor’s degree programme at Escape Studios.
  • Field of study: You’re studying animation, games, VFX or a similar creative subject there.
  • Where you study: Your course takes place at Escape Studios in London.
  • Who can apply: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply. Separate scholarships are available for students from the UK and for international students.
  • Portfolio: You will be asked to submit a portfolio of your creative work. The awards will be decided on this basis.

How to apply

You must apply via UCAS for one of the Bachelor’s degree programmes by 6 April. There is no separate scholarship application form. If you meet the entry requirements, you will be asked to submit a portfolio, which will be considered automatically. A panel of industry experts will then select the best portfolios.

How realistic are your chances?

Some scholarships are strictly limited to just a handful of awards per year and are awarded by experienced industry experts; therefore, a compelling, outstanding portfolio is what matters most. Other scholarships are more widely available and easier to obtain if you meet the criteria. As you are automatically considered provided you apply by the deadline, submitting the best possible portfolio is the most important factor you can influence yourself.
