About this scholarship

Benefit

You get a one-off payment of £1,500 (about 1,750 EUR) in your first year of an Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree at the University of Sheffield. The money is paid in October of your starting year. There is no monthly instalment and no repeat payment in later years. The award comes from the University's School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and rewards strong entry grades.

Eligibility

  • Degree: You are starting the first year of an undergraduate honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
  • University: You study at the University of Sheffield and made it your first (firm) choice in your UCAS application.
  • Grades: You achieve A-level grades of A*AA or above. Equivalent results in other qualifications also count.
  • Where you're from: You are a UK home student, meaning you are not classed as an overseas student for tuition-fee purposes.

How to apply

There is no separate application. You get the scholarship automatically once you meet the conditions, and the payment is processed in October of your starting year.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is not competitive in the usual sense. It is a fixed reward for anyone who meets a clear grade bar and enrols in the right degree at Sheffield. If you hit A*AA or better, make Sheffield your firm choice and count as a UK home student, you receive it automatically. The only real hurdle is the entry grade itself.
