About this scholarship

Joint-Study-Programme of the Medical University of Innsbruck

You will receive a monthly grant of 300 EUR grant for up to 4 months to study for one or two semesters at a partner university abroad. The designated partner university is the University of Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany). The programme is run by the Office for International Relations at the Medical University of Innsbruck (MUI). You will complete part of your medical studies abroad, whilst remaining enrolled at the University of Innsbruck.

Who can apply

  • University: You are a full-time student at the Medical University of Innsbruck.
  • Field of study: You are studying a medical or health sciences subject at the MUI, such as medicine, dentistry or molecular medicine.
  • Where you go: You are studying at a partner university abroad. A degree from your home country does not count.
  • Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
  • Language: You can demonstrate that you have the language skills required by the host university.

How to apply

Please apply via the Office for International Relations at the Medical University of Innsbruck. The application deadline is 15 February.

How realistic are your chances?

This funding is very limited: you must already be studying medicine at this particular university in Innsbruck and wish to study at a partner university abroad, meaning that only a few people meet the criteria. If you meet these criteria, can provide evidence of your language skills and apply by the deadline, your chances are good.
