Land Salzburg - Soucek-Stipendium Paris

Benefit

You will be based at the Cité des Arts in Paris, where you will have access to both 1,500 EUR and 2 months of free accommodation. This artists’ residence has a screen-printing workshop which you are welcome to use. The residency will help you to develop your skills in printmaking and to get to know the Parisian printmaking scene. The works you create during your stay will later be exhibited in a group exhibition at the Traklhaus Gallery in Salzburg. The Province of Salzburg awards the prize through its Department of Art and Culture and announces it every three years.

Eligibility

• Link to Salzburg: You were born in Salzburg or have had your main place of residence in Salzburg for at least five years. Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply.
• Field: You are a visual artist who specialises in printmaking. This includes techniques such as screen printing, lithography and etching, in which an image is printed from a prepared plate or screen.
• Your prints: You may exhibit at least 10 of your own prints. Any printing technique is permitted.
• Track record: You have an artistic CV listing your past and current exhibitions and projects.

How to apply

Please send your application by post to the Department of Art and Culture of the Province of Salzburg. In previous rounds of calls for applications, the deadline was in May (9 May 2014, 11 May 2020). An independent jury, which includes experts in printmaking, will select the winner. Each applicant will be notified of the result in writing.
