About this award / prize

Jean Gol Foundation Award

You will receive a one-off prize of 2,500 EUR for your research work at the Université de Liège in the fields of law or information and communication sciences. The prize recognises outstanding research achievements and is therefore not tied to a specific period of study. The funding comes from the Jean Gol Foundation, which was established as part of the University of Liège’s endowment fund in memory of Jean Gol, a former Belgian Minister of State who taught media law there.

  • University: You have completed your degree at the Université de Liège and are now undertaking postgraduate studies or carrying out research there.
  • Level: You hold a Master’s degree and are currently undertaking a PhD or carrying out research.
  • Field of study: Your work is in law or information-communication.
  • Who you are: You are a student, a researcher or a member of the university's scientific staff.
  • Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
