About this grant / loan

Crickx Fund (Fonds Marc Crickx)

You will receive one-off financial support if, due to a family crisis – such as a death, a serious illness or an accident – you are suddenly unable to continue your studies. The amount is not fixed. It is calculated to help you through a difficult time so that you can complete your studies. The fund is managed by the Student Welfare Service at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). It was set up by friends of Marc Crickx, a lawyer who died in a car accident in 1991.

Who can apply

  • University: You are studying at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in Brussels.
  • Study stage: You are in at least your second year of study.
  • Field of study: Preference will be given to students of law and criminology, but students from other disciplines are also welcome to apply.
  • Financial need: You have suddenly lost the money you need for your studies, for example due to a death, illness or accident in your family.
  • Nationality: All nationalities can apply.

How to apply

Please contact a social worker at the ULB Student Social Service (Service Social Etudiants) in person or by email and explain your situation in a confidential conversation.
