About this scholarship
United Scholarship for education-seeking people in Slagelse Municipality
You will receive a one-off grant to cover certain costs associated with your education or vocational training. This is intended to fund specific expenses, but not living costs. Examples include course or enrolment fees, specialist equipment or tools, textbooks and materials. In exceptional cases, travel or temporary accommodation costs may also be covered, provided this is essential for you to complete your course. The total amount is limited and will be divided amongst one or more applicants. The amount of the grant depends on your demonstrated need and the other applications received this year. The grant is awarded by the municipality of Slagelse in Denmark.
Who can apply
- Local connection: You live in the area of the former municipality of Slagelse (the area as it was before the municipal reorganisation 2007) or are registered as living there.
- Study phase: You have completed compulsory education and are now in further education or on a vocational training programme, either at school or as part of a vocational training pathway.
- Field of study: All fields of study and training pathways are permitted.
- Nationality: Applicants of any nationality are welcome to apply, provided they have a connection to the region.
- What the grant is for: You apply for specific, documented education costs, not general living expenses.
How to apply
You should submit your application to Slagelse Municipality. The municipality will publish details of the funding on slagelse.dk at the end of March. The deadline is 30 April. Please state clearly which costs you require support for and enclose cost estimates, quotations or invoices as supporting evidence.
