About this scholarship
What you get
You will receive a one-off grant of about 2,000 DKK (around 260 EUR). This is paid once a year, usually in December before Christmas. The exact amount may vary from year to year. This is a one-off payment and not a regular monthly allowance. The fund is administered by the Ankestyrelsen (the Danish Appeals Board) and is intended to support children and young people in Denmark.
Who can apply
- Gender: You are a woman.
- Individuals only: You are applying as a private individual. Clubs and organisations are not eligible to apply.
- Your situation: The fund gives priority to applicants who are in a difficult social and financial situation, such as single parents with several children.
- Children: In recent years, the fund has given preference to applicants who have one or more children still living at home.
- Income: The fund gives priority to applicants with an annual income of less than 200,000 DKK (approximately 26,800 EUR).
- Not retired: The fund gives preference to applicants who are neither pensioners nor on early retirement.
- Field of study: All subjects are open.
- Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, provided they are studying in Denmark.
How to apply
Apply for the grant using the online form linked on the Ankestyrelsen website, and attach your annual tax assessment (årsopgørelse). The deadline is 15 November each year, and decisions are announced in December. The fund does not send out rejection notices. If you do not receive a payment, you have not been selected.
