Benefit

You will receive a one-off grant of 6,000 to 14,000 DKK (about 940 EUR) if you are studying at the University of Copenhagen and are facing serious financial hardship. The money will help you cover your living costs towards the end of your studies. The association pays out around 60,000 DKK (approximately 8,000 EUR) annually, which is divided amongst several students.

Eligibility

• University: You are studying at the University of Copenhagen (Københavns Universitet).
• Study level: You are currently studying for your Master’s degree (candidate) and are about to graduate.
• Financial need: You are facing an exceptional financial hardship, for example because you or someone close to you is ill, and are finding it difficult to make ends meet.
• Field of study: All subjects can apply.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• What it covers: The grant is intended to cover day-to-day living expenses, not for travel or stays abroad.

How to apply

You apply by email with details about your financial situation: debts, housing costs and income. The deadline is 15 December. The call is published on the University of Copenhagen SU office website each September.
