About this scholarship

Benefit

You will receive a sum of one-off payment of about 10,200 DKK (around 1,340 EUR) to cover your living costs or for study-related travel. This is a one-off lump sum and not a monthly grant. In the year 2023, 22 people each received 10,200 DKK. The fund is an independent Danish foundation affiliated with the University of Copenhagen, the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. It supports students in financial need.

Eligibility

  • Gender: You are a woman. The scholarship is aimed at female students, and a separate grant is also awarded to single women in financial difficulty.
  • University: You are studying at the University of Copenhagen, the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) or the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.
  • Field of study: Any subject area. In the past, the awards were frequently given to students of the humanities, but the natural sciences, social sciences, health sciences and technical disciplines are also eligible.
  • Financial need: You are having difficulty covering your costs and can provide evidence of your financial situation.
  • Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, provided they are studying at one of the three universities.
  • Grades (a plus, not a must): Hard-working students in their early years with good results are preferred.

How to apply

To apply at the University of Copenhagen, you must use the university’s official scholarship application form and clearly specify the fund on the first page. At DTU, you apply via the DTU Beyond Borders portal, selecting the ‘Frøken Marie Månsson’s Scholarship’ option. No application deadline has been published at present.
