The amount and duration are not publicly stated. The money comes from the Esbjerg Børnehjems Fond, a Danish charity that helps young people from the Esbjerg region to afford their studies.

Who can apply

• Where you are from: You were born and brought up in the municipality of Esbjerg.
• What you study: Any subject, provided it relates to higher education (university or similar).
• Where you study: You’re studying in Denmark.
• Financial need: You cannot fund your studies entirely yourself. The money goes first to those who need it most.
• Priority: If you grew up at the former Esbjerg children’s home (which has since closed), you will be given priority. Other people from Esbjerg are also welcome to apply.
