About this scholarship

What you get

You will receive a one-off grant towards your education, for example to cover tuition fees, an exchange programme or a study trip. The amount of the grant is not fixed. The school board decides on each grant application individually and pays it out of the fund’s annual income. A grant may be paid as a lump sum or spread over a specified period. The scholarship is awarded by Kirstine Seligmanns Skole (KSS), a private school in Vejle, Denmark. It was established in memory of Else Bodil Ahrentsen Hansen, who headed the school from 1953 to 1970.

Who can apply

  • Link to the school: You are currently attending, or have previously attended, the Kirstine Seligmann School in Vejle. It doesn’t matter how long ago that was.
  • Where you are from: You’re from Vejle or the surrounding area.
  • Field of study: Any subject.
  • Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
  • Financial need: You need the money because of your personal and financial circumstances.
  • Merit: You show commitment and ability in your studies.

How to apply

Please email your application to the school, addressed to the Board, by 30 November each year. Please explain who you are, what you need the money for and what you are studying. Please enclose a breakdown of your total study costs. The Board will review the applications in February.
