About this scholarship

The ÖT Scholarship

You will receive financial support towards a longer study stay in another Nordic country. The scholarship is administered by the ‘Studenterforeningen i København’ (Copenhagen Student Union) in collaboration with the ‘Akademiska Föreningen i Lund’. It is intended to strengthen academic and cultural ties between the Nordic countries. The amount of the scholarship is not disclosed.

Who can apply

  • Degree: You are studying for a bachelor’s degree at a university in the Copenhagen area.
  • Where you go: You are spending your stay in another Nordic country: Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, the Faroe Islands or Greenland. Stays outside the Nordic region are not eligible for support.
  • Length of stay: Your stay must comprise at least 15 ECTS credits, which is roughly equivalent to one semester.
  • Student life: You are active in academic student societies or have links to them. This plays an important role in the decision-making process.
  • Field of study: Any subject is accepted.
  • Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
  • Preferred: If you live in the Capital Region (Region Hovedstaden) and are a member of Studenterforeningen, your chances are better, but neither is a requirement.

How to apply

Please send your application by post to the Fund’s office at the Nordisk Kollegium in Copenhagen. Applications are assessed twice a year; the deadlines are 5 May and 5 November.
