About this scholarship

Doctor Else Mogensens Foundation travel grant

You will receive a one-off travel grant of 5,000 to 10,000 DKK (about 670 to 1,340 EUR) to fund a study trip abroad, such as a stay, an exchange programme or a research placement as part of your studies. You may only apply for a trip that you have not yet undertaken. The foundation is administered by the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) and awards several of these grants in each funding round.

  • Field of study: You are studying engineering, medicine, natural sciences, business administration or business languages.
  • Where you study: You are studying at the University of Southern Denmark (Odense or Kolding) or at one of the partner higher education institutions in the region (e.g. BA Erhvervsakademi Kolding, Designskolen Kolding, EUC Lillebaelt, IBC, SIMAC, Tietgen or Svendborg Erhvervsskole).
  • Enrolment: You study full time.
  • Study phase: You have completed the first two years of your degree. If your degree programme lasts two years or less in total, you can apply after the first year.

  • Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How to apply

SDU students should complete the official application form and submit it together with a certificate showing their current academic progress, a letter of recommendation and their Danish tax return (aarsopgoerelse, your annual tax statement). The deadline is 23 October 2026. If you are studying at a partner university, please submit the form to your university’s administration office instead.
