Adalbert Gade and Wife's Scholarship

You will receive a one-off grant from a joint annual fund totalling approximately 100,000 DKK (around 13,400 EUR), which is paid to students at the University of Copenhagen who require financial support. The University allocates the funds through its Scholarship Committee. The amount of the grant depends on your individual circumstances. It covers the difference between the Danish state education grant (SU) and your actual income, or provides you with a corresponding amount if you do not receive SU. The number of individual grants paid out from the fund is not specified.

Who can apply

• University: You are enrolled at the University of Copenhagen.
• Financial need: You are unable to cover the full cost of your studies.
• Field of study: Open to all subjects.
• Level: Open to students at all levels, from Bachelor’s to PhD.
• Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, provided they are studying at the University of Copenhagen.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted via the University of Copenhagen’s online scholarship application form. On the form, please state that you are enrolled at the university and explain why you require financial support. If you are selected, the university’s SU office will contact you directly, usually around mid-September.
