What you get

You will receive up to 780 EUR for a university degree, paid out over 12 months. The exact amount varies from case to case. The scholarship is administered by the municipality of Ærø (Denmark). It supports young people with roots in the former municipality of Marstal who are starting a degree course. Please note that this grant is treated as taxable income in Denmark.

Who can apply

• Where you are from: Your parents live in the former Marstal municipality (gl. Marstal Kommune).
• Level of study: You are studying to obtain a higher education qualification, for example at a university, a teacher training college or a nautical college.
• Field of study: Any subject is fine.
• Where you study: Every recognised higher education institution counts.
• Nationality: Applicants of any nationality are welcome to apply. What matters is your family connection to Marstal.

How to apply

You can apply online using the digital form on the Ærø municipality website. You log in using MitID, the Danish digital ID. The application deadline is 18 October.
