About this scholarship

Tietgen School's Anniversary Scholarship (Tietgens Jubilæumslegat)

You will receive a grant for a study trip abroad, a study or work placement abroad lasting at least 2 weeks, or further training at a recognised institution in Denmark or abroad. The grant covers part of the costs; you must cover the remainder yourself. The amount is not published. The money comes from a fund managed by TietgenSkolen, a business school and business-oriented upper secondary school in Odense, Denmark.

Who can apply

  • Your school: You are a current or former pupil at Tietgen, for example in hhx (the Danish business-focused upper secondary programme) or the eud/eux business programmes.
  • Priority: Current pupils take priority. Former pupils may apply, but their applications will only be considered after those of current pupils.
  • Alone or as a class: You can apply yourself, or a teacher can submit an application on behalf of your whole class.
  • Length of stay: A study or work placement must last at least 2 weeks. There is no minimum duration for study trips.
  • Subject: Pupils from all subject areas and educational pathways at the school are eligible to apply.
  • Your own money: You will be responsible for part of the costs yourself and must set out your contribution in a cost breakdown.

How to apply

To apply to TietgenSkolen, you will need to submit a short letter of motivation and a budget breakdown showing the portion of the costs you will cover yourself. You can apply for study trips at any time. For longer stays abroad, the application period begins in early April and ends on 1 June. You will receive a response by the end of June.
