Anglo-Danish Society - Anglo-Danish Society's Scholarship for Danish Graduates

Anglo-Danish Society's Scholarship for Danish Graduates

You will receive a one-off grant of £2,500 (about 2,900 EUR), which will be paid in two instalments from the start of the academic year. This grant is intended to support Danish university graduates who are going to the UK to undertake postgraduate studies or a research project. The grant is intended to supplement your other sources of funding and will therefore not cover your full costs. The grant is provided by the Anglo-Danish Society, which promotes educational and cultural relations between Denmark and the United Kingdom.

Who can apply

• Nationality and degree: You are Danish and hold a first degree from a Danish university or higher education institution.
• Where you study: You are studying at a university or other higher education institution in the United Kingdom.
• Study level: You are undertaking postgraduate study or research leading to a higher academic qualification. You must have already started this, or be certain that you will be able to start it in the specified academic year, even if your place at university has not yet been definitively confirmed.
• Field of study: All subjects are open. Past awards have gone to music, architecture, engineering, fine art, design, medical sciences, international relations and social anthropology.
• Preferred projects: Your chances of success are greater if your project makes use of links between Denmark and the UK, contributes to cultural exchange between the two countries, or relates to current issues in either country. It is also helpful if you explain why the university you have chosen is a good fit for your field of study.

How to apply

Please submit the application form, a budget form and two recent references in English via the Society’s website. Please do not include any further documents, as this may result in your application being rejected. The deadline for applications is 1 March.
