Jorcks Rejselegat travel grant

You will receive a travel grant of up to 50,000 DKK (about 6,700 EUR) to fund a course of study, an internship or a research placement abroad, or to complete a full degree programme abroad. The grant covers your educational costs and is paid as a one-off sum for each successful application. It is provided by the Reinholdt W. Jorck and Wife Foundation (Reinholdt W. Jorck og Hustrus Fond), a Danish private foundation administered by the Danish Chamber of Commerce (Dansk Erhverv).

Who can apply

• Level: You must be at least a Master’s student. You may also apply if you are a graduate, a PhD student, a researcher with a PhD, or a postdoctoral researcher. Bachelor’s students are not eligible to apply.
• What you do abroad: You will spend at least 3 months of your degree programme abroad, complete a full degree programme abroad (Master’s, PhD, LLM or MBA), or carry out research abroad for at least 3 months. For an MBA, you must have no more than 3 years’ professional experience.
• Field of study: You study business or commerce, a technical or scientific field, law, medicine or political science. Applications in production technology and related areas, including digitalisation, are preferred.
• Grades: You must have an average mark of at least 8 on the Danish 7-point scale. You will also need a strong letter of recommendation from a recognised academic expert or supervisor.
• Financial need: You are unable to fund your studies abroad yourself.
• Age: You are 35 or younger.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted online via the Foundation’s portal, specifying ‘Jorcks Fonds Rejselegat’ as the reference. The application period runs each year from 1 August to 15 September. The Foundation will notify successful applicants in mid-December.
