Hans Ebsen Damm's Commemoration Scholarship

You get a one-off cash grant to help pay for your agricultural training in Denmark. The amount is not published, and you receive it once, not every month. It is paid out in May each year. The money comes from Faelleslandboforeningen for Nordslesvig, an agricultural association for North Schleswig. The scholarship is named after Hans Ebsen Damm, a farmer from the Branderup area.

Who can apply

• Training: You are doing an apprenticeship or vocational training in agriculture, horticulture or forestry.
• Local connection: You have a link to the Branderup parish (Branderup Sogn) in South Jutland, Denmark. For example, you were born there, grew up there or live there.
• Background: You are a South Jutlander with a Danish cultural and linguistic identity.
• Who may apply: Only individuals, not groups or organisations.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply. What counts is your connection to the Branderup community.
• Grades: Your school results only matter as a tiebreaker between two equally strong candidates.

How to apply

Send a written application in free form to Hans Ebsen Damm's Mindelegat. The deadline is 1 February. Deadlines also appear in local newspapers and in Landsavisen.
