What you get

You will continue to receive your Danish state student aid (SU), the standard monthly grant for students in Denmark, whilst studying abroad as part of your Danish degree programme. The amount is the same as your standard SU, so there is no additional top-up. You can receive this support for a study period of up to 12 months. The payment is made by the SU office at Aalborg University (AAU).

Who can apply

• University: You are studying at Aalborg University as part of a Danish degree programme.
• Student aid: You get Danish state student aid (SU), and you still have grant portions or loan instalments left when your stay abroad begins.
• Approved stay: The AAU will approve your period of study abroad in advance, and the courses you take will count towards your degree.
• Field of study: Any subject.
• Grades: Your marks will be taken into account.

How to apply

Please email the application form to the SU Office at Aalborg University. You can apply no earlier than 12 months before the start of your stay abroad and no later than before it ends.
