University of Southern Denmark - Manufacturer Knud Abildgaards Foundation

Manufacturer Knud Abildgaard's Foundation housing grant

Whilst studying at University of Southern Denmark (SDU), you will receive a one-off housing grant of approximately 3,700 DKK (around 500 EUR). This is intended to help you deal with a sudden housing problem, for example if you are unable to pay a deposit or rent in advance and this would jeopardise your studies. This is supplementary support for a specific need and is not intended to cover your living costs for the duration of your studies. The SDU awards the grant once a year and selects students on the basis of financial need.

Who can apply

• University: You are enrolled at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), whose main campus is in Odense.
• Field of study: You are studying a subject in the natural sciences, health sciences or engineering.
• Study phase: You are a Bachelor’s student.
• Timing: You are in the middle of your studies. You cannot apply in your first semester or if you graduate in the next exam period.
• Financial need: You need the money. You must provide evidence of your income and assets using your tax assessment notice, and, where applicable, those of your spouse or partner, if you have one.
• Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, provided they are studying at the SDU.

The SDU accepts applications once a year and publishes the deadlines on its scholarship pages.
