About this scholarship

Benefit

You will receive a one-off grant of around 7,500 DKK (about 1,000 EUR) towards your further training as a tradesperson. The money is intended to cover the cost of specialist courses, study trips within Denmark or abroad, and the necessary books and materials. The grant comes from a Danish charitable foundation which pays out a total of approximately 100,000 DKK (around 13,400 EUR) each year, meaning that the number and amount of grants vary from year to year.

Eligibility

  • Who it is for: You are a young, skilled craftsman, especially in the building and construction trades.
  • What you use it for: You would like to cover the costs of further training, a course, a study trip, or textbooks and teaching materials.
  • Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
  • Where you study: Your education is based in Denmark. Courses and study trips may also take you abroad.
  • Local preference: If you were born in Frederiksberg, a district of Copenhagen, and live there, you will be given priority. This is an advantage, not a requirement.

How to apply

Please send your application to the Foundation’s administrative office, the law firm Accura Advokataktieselskab in Copenhagen. The deadline is 1 April. Grants are awarded on an ongoing basis for training courses that are in line with the Foundation’s objectives.
