About this scholarship

O.H.F. and A. J-E. Heilmann's Foundation grant

You will receive financial support amounting to undisclosed amount for further training, student projects or forestry-related research projects in Denmark. The Foundation supports three areas in order of priority: further training for young forestry graduates; scholarships and collaborative projects for students at the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences (Natur- og Biovidenskabelige Fakultet) at the University of Copenhagen, provided the work relates to forestry; and forestry research or other activities of significance to the sector. Each year, it also awards two honorary prizes: one to a young researcher for outstanding forestry research and one to an individual who has rendered outstanding service to forestry in Denmark, for example through teaching. The foundation was established by the forestry scientist Allan Heilmann. It is administered by the DM (Danmarks Magisterforbund), the Danish professional association for academics.

Who can apply

  • Who it is for: You are a recent forestry graduate looking to further your education (top priority), or a student at the Faculty of Science at the University of Copenhagen whose project is related to forestry.
  • Field of study: Your work must relate to forestry. A background in agronomy, agriculture or forestry is preferred but not required.
  • Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
  • Where you study: The scholarship is intended for study and work in Denmark.
