About this scholarship

What you get

You will receive a scholarship to fund a further study programme abroad, such as an MBA (a postgraduate business programme) or another postgraduate course. The Foundation’s Board determines the amount on a case-by-case basis, so it is not fixed in advance. In the year 2024, the Foundation paid out a total of 2,255,000 DKK (approximately 302,000 EUR) for all grants in this category. The Rudolph Als Foundation (Danish: Rudolph Als Fondet) is a Danish corporate foundation. It supports people who are pursuing a career in business, engineering, maritime affairs or agriculture.

Who can apply

  • Where you go: You study abroad, outside Denmark. You need an admission letter from the foreign university. A nomination letter from a Danish university is not enough on its own.
  • Study level: You are a Master’s student, a graduate or already in employment and would like to undertake further study abroad. Bachelor’s students are not eligible to apply (since 1 July 2024).
  • Field of study: Your main focus is on the fields of business, technology, shipping or agriculture. Other fields, including scientific and cultural ones, may be supported in exceptional cases, provided you have a clear career objective.
  • Nationality: Open to all nationalities.

How to apply

You can only apply via the online form on the Foundation’s website (Grant Compass). Applications sent by post or email will not be considered. There is no fixed application deadline. The board meets four times a year, so it may take up to three months for you to receive a reply. You will be notified by email as to whether your application has been accepted or rejected.
