What you get

You will receive a grant to help cover the costs of your degree course or other post-secondary education. The amount of the grant is not fixed; it is determined on a case-by-case basis, taking into account your financial circumstances and needs. The money comes from the Nykøbing Katedralskole Pupils’ Association Support Fund (Nykøbing Katedralskoles Elevsamfunds Understøttelsesfond), one of three funds that fall under the school’s scholarship fund.

Who can apply

• Your school: You have graduated from Nykøbing Katedralskole (STX or HF) in recent years, or you are currently in your final year there.
• Where you study now: After school, you’ll be studying in Denmark.
• Field of study: Any subject.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Financial need: You need financial support for your studies. You must provide evidence of your financial situation (and, where applicable, that of your parents) by submitting last year’s tax assessment notice. You must also declare your income from state student finance (SU), scholarships, employment, assets and household income.
• Results: Please include your exam or test results, along with details of when you took them.

How to apply

Please complete the application form on the school’s website or at the school office. Please enclose a brief written explanation of your reasons for applying, along with your supporting documents. Please send these to the school by email or post. The application deadline is 15 April. You will receive a reply on the last Friday in June at the school’s graduation ceremony.
