About this scholarship

What you get

You receive a one-off grant of DKK 15,000 to DKK 50,000 (about 2,000 to 6,700 EUR) towards further professional training. This can include travel costs for a study stay abroad that matters for your work. The grant comes from DSEB (Danish Society of Economics and Business Administration), which hands out around DKK 100,000 (about 13,400 EUR) in total each year from this fund.

Who can apply

  • Your job: You work at the Danish Ministry of Finance (Finansministeriet) or the Ministry of Industry (Erhvervsministeriet), mainly in the departments. Bank officials and MBA students (or similar) can also apply.
  • Type of study: This grant is for further professional training on top of your job. You cannot apply if you are in a normal bachelor's or master's programme, or going on an exchange or internship.
  • Study abroad: If you apply for a stay abroad, you must show that it matters for your work.
  • Your profession: You must count as a "merchant". Lawyers and engineers do not qualify.
  • Nationality: Open to all nationalities.

A separate branch of the fund also supports elderly former royal officials in the Central Administration who are in need, their widows, and the founders' closest family members in need.

How to apply

You apply through the GrantCompass online portal, using the form for further professional education. A separate form exists for former royal officials or their widows. The deadline is 28 February each year, and the grants are paid out in April.
