University of Málaga/Diario El País S.L. - End of Degree Scholarships

Benefit

You will receive a one-off grant of 1,500 EUR for having completed your degree at the University of Málaga with one of the highest academic honours. Twelve prizes are awarded each academic year, totalling 18,000 euros. This is a reward for completing your degree and is not a monthly scholarship. The prize is awarded jointly by the General Foundation of the University of Málaga (FGUMA), the newspaper ‘El País’ and the University itself.

Eligibility

• University: You studied at the University of Málaga.
• Study phase: You have completed your degree in the relevant academic year, including the required final dissertation (Trabajo Fin de Carrera/Grado). The qualification is officially recognised throughout the country.
• Grades: Your academic achievements must be amongst the 12 best of all applicants. This is the decisive factor.
• Field of study: All subjects can apply.
• Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
• Financial need: Not required. The prize is based purely on grades.

How to apply

Apply once you have completed your degree at the University of Málaga. The application deadline is 31 October. The 12 winners will be the applicants with the highest grade point averages.

How realistic are your chances?

A single factor determines who is awarded this prize: your average mark compared with all other applicants from the same year group. There is neither a means test nor an interview. If you have completed your degree at the University of Málaga with outstanding results, it is worth applying. As only 12 scholarships are awarded across the entire university each year, your chances depend on whether your marks are amongst the best.
