University of Oviedo - "MBA Executive" Scholarships

What you get

You will receive a 3,500 EUR discount on the tuition fees for the ‘Máster en Dirección de Empresas MBA Ejecutivo’, an Executive MBA (a Master’s programme in management for working professionals) at the University of Oviedo. The grant covers the full 60 ECTS credits of the one-year programme. If you have already paid the second instalment of your tuition fees by the time the grant is awarded, you can apply for a refund. The City of Oviedo funds these grants and awards 10 of them.

Who can apply

• Programme: You are enrolled on the ‘MBA Ejecutivo’ MBA programme at the University of Oviedo.
• Financial need: You can prove that you are unable to pay the tuition fees from your own resources. Being registered as unemployed and having a low household income both support your application.
• Grades and experience: Half of your total score is made up of your average mark from your first degree, additional bonus points (languages, time spent abroad, awards, publications) and your work experience.
• No double funding: This grant cannot be combined with other public or private funding for the same tuition fees.
• Nationality: All nationalities can apply.

How to apply

Please submit your application by 23 January to the Director of the ‘Centro Internacional de Postgrado’ at any of the University of Oviedo’s enrolment offices. A selection panel may invite you to an interview before a decision is made. Applicants will be ranked, and scholarships will be awarded until the funds have been exhausted.

How realistic are your chances?

This funding is tied to a specific programme and is awarded half on the basis of merit and half on the basis of actual financial need. Consequently, only enrolled Executive MBA students who can demonstrate both are eligible. With 10 scholarships available and a fixed budget, your chances are good if you clearly meet the means-testing criteria and can demonstrate strong academic and professional achievements. Apply early, as places are allocated until the funds are exhausted.
