What you get

You will receive a travel grant of up to 300 EUR to attend an event outside Tenerife that is relevant to your studies. It covers travel, for example to a course, seminar, congress, conference, unpaid work placement, fieldwork, a student meeting or a research trip for your Bachelor’s thesis. Volunteering trips with recognised organisations are also eligible. The University of La Laguna (ULL) in Tenerife, Spain, awards these grants from an annual fund of up to 10,000 EUR, which is divided amongst all recipients.

Who can apply

• University: You are enrolled on a bachelor’s degree programme (Grado) or an official master’s degree programme at the University of La Laguna.
• Active enrolment: Your registration is valid from the day you register.
• Where you travel: You are starting your trip in Tenerife, and the event is taking place outside the island. This departure rule does not apply if you are a SICUE exchange student on a placement abroad.
• Link to your studies: The activity must be related to your degree subject, as confirmed by a lecturer from your department in a short report. It must not form an integral part of your official curriculum.
• Timing: Your trip will take place between 16 November 2025 and 15 November 2026.
• No double funding: You will not receive any further funding for the same trip unless you provide a certificate.
• Field of study: Anyone interested is welcome to apply.
• Nationality: All nationalities can apply.

How to apply

You apply online via the ULL Service Portal (Portal de Servicios) and upload your documents there. There are two application rounds. The first closes on 31 May 2026 for trips taking place before 31 July 2026. The second round runs from 16 September to 31 October 2026 for later trips. Applications are assessed on the basis of household income, academic results and whether you will be actively participating in the event.

How realistic are your chances?

Only students at ULL may apply, and the trip must be clearly linked to their studies, meaning that the pool of applicants remains small. The assessment places particular emphasis on financial need and an active role, meaning that oral presentations or poster presentations receive the highest marks. Applicants from lower-income households who play an active role have good prospects. The prize fund totals a fixed amount of 10,000 EUR, to be shared amongst all winners; it is therefore advantageous to apply early in the round.
