San Vicente Mártir Catholic University of Valencia - Short-Term Travel Grants for Doctoral Students

What you get

You will receive up to 1,000 EUR per month for a research placement abroad whilst undertaking your PhD. Outside Europe, you will receive 1,000 EUR per month; within Europe, the rate is 800 EUR per month. Your stay must last at least 1 months and may be for up to 3 months. The funding is provided by the Catholic University of San Vicente Mártir (UCV) in Valencia, Spain. The stay may also count towards the ‘mención internacional’, an additional distinction in your doctoral thesis for research carried out abroad.

Who can apply

• Level: You are a PhD student.
• University: You are enrolled at the Catholic University of San Vicente Mártir (UCV) in Valencia.
• Where you go: You are undertaking your placement at an institution outside Spain.
• Field of study: Open to all subjects.
• Nationality: All nationalities welcome.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted via the UCV Doctoral School (Escuela de Doctorado). The application deadline is 14 February.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is open exclusively to PhD students who are already enrolled at UCV, so the pool of applicants is small from the outset. If you are studying for a PhD there and have concrete plans for a research stay abroad, your chances are good. Apply early and secure a host institution in advance to improve your chances.
