UCJC Family Scholarships

At the Universidad Camilo José Cela (UCJC) in Madrid, you are eligible for a percentage discount on your tuition fees if a close family member is already studying there. The university does not publish the exact percentage. The discount reduces the fees you are required to pay; you do not receive a cash payment. It applies to Bachelor’s degree programmes, official Master’s degree programmes and vocational training (Formación Profesional). The UCJC is part of the SEK Education Group. Unlike some other UCJC grants, this one does not require anything in return: neither working hours nor academic tasks.

Who can apply

• New student: You are enrolling at the UCJC for the first time.
• Family link: You are a parent, child, sibling, spouse or registered civil partner of a person who is currently enrolled at the UCJC or a school in the SEK Group.
• Level: Open to Bachelor’s degree programmes, official Master’s degree programmes and higher vocational education.
• Field of study: Open to all subjects.
• Nationality: All nationalities can apply.

How to apply

Once you have been admitted, apply online via the MyUCJC portal. The standard application deadline is 31 July of the year in which your course begins. If you are admitted at a later date, you will have 15 days from the date of your admission confirmation. A scholarship committee will review the applications and make the decision.

How realistic are your chances?

This is not an award granted on a competitive basis. It is an automatic discount subject to one clear condition: a close relative or partner is already studying at the UCJC or an SEK school. If you can provide proof of this family connection and enrol as a new student, you can expect to receive the discount. Simply apply for it within the deadline once your admission has been confirmed.
