About this scholarship

Benefit

You will receive up to 7,500 EUR for one academic year at CEU San Pablo University in Madrid. The exact amount depends on your financial and family circumstances. If you come from a large family (three or more children), you can also apply for a fixed supplement: 300 EUR for the first child, 450 EUR for the second and 600 EUR for the third and each subsequent child. The scholarship is provided by the San Pablo CEU University Foundation. It is aimed at students who achieve good academic results but have difficulty financing their studies.

Eligibility

  • University: You are studying at CEU San Pablo or another CEU institution offering the same degree programme.
  • Course load: You are enrolled for at least 60 ECTS credits this year, which corresponds to a full academic year. If the number of credits is lower, the scholarship amount will be reduced accordingly.
  • Financial need: You can prove that your family is unable to cover the costs of your studies without difficulty, for example due to unemployment, a significant drop in income, or because you come from a single-parent or extended family.
  • Grades: You’re still doing well at school.
  • Field of study: All compartments are open.
  • Nationality: All nationalities can apply.
  • Other grants: You may combine this scholarship with other scholarships offered by the Foundation, but not with the general state scholarship awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Education (Beca general).

How to apply

You must submit a written application to the university’s Scholarships Office, together with evidence of your financial and family circumstances. For the academic year 2025–26, the application period ran from 3 March to 28 May. A committee reviews each application and makes a decision. You must submit a new application for each new academic year.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is linked to a private university and is restricted to students who can demonstrate genuine financial hardship; consequently, the pool of applicants is smaller than for an open call for applications. If you are already studying at a CEU institution, are enrolled on a full-time course and can clearly document your family’s circumstances, your chances are good. As each case is assessed individually, a well-documented application is more important than a perfectly polished one.
