UCAM Mobility Programme for North America

You will receive 300 EUR per month for up to 6 months to spend a semester at a partner university in the United States or Canada, and the host university will waive your tuition fees. The stay usually lasts one semester and can be up to a full year, although only the first 6 months count towards the scholarship. UCAM awards 20 of these scholarships. For destinations covered by an Erasmus+ agreement (an EU exchange programme), there is a separate programme offering 4 scholarships of 700 EUR per month for up to 4.5 months, as well as a lump-sum travel allowance of 1,188 EUR. The programme is run by the Office for International Relations at the Catholic University of San Antonio in Murcia (UCAM).

Who can apply

• Your university: You are studying for a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree at UCAM and will remain enrolled for the duration of the exchange.
• Study progress: You have earned at least 60 ECTS credits (equivalent to approximately one full year). Students of Business Administration (ADE) must have completed their first year of study.
• Language level: You hold an official B2 certificate in the target language (English, French or German) issued within the last 3 years. Alternatively, you can sit the free UCAM B2 test, which takes place every January.
• Field of study: Open to all subjects.
• Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply. Non-Spanish students must present their passport instead of a Spanish identity card.
• Selection: Places go to the students with the best grade average and certified language level.

How to apply

Applications are made via UCAM’s ‘Laurea’ online system. There are two application deadlines: Phase I runs from 17 November 2025 to 11 January 2026, and Phase II from 3 to 17 September 2026. You must upload a copy of your identity card or passport and, if available, your language certificate.

How realistic are your chances?

This funding is available exclusively to UCAM students who have already completed one academic year and can demonstrate a language level of B2; consequently, the group of eligible students is small from the outset. Places are available through 20 scholarships and the Erasmus+ programme, but these are awarded strictly on the basis of academic performance and language proficiency. If you have a good average mark, can provide a valid certificate and apply during the first application period, your chances are good.
