Francisco de Vitoria University - Scholarships for Students with an Excellent Academic Record

What you get

You have been offered a place at discount on your tuition fees at the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria (UFV), a private university in Madrid. The number of places you are offered depends on your university entrance mark (the CAU, a weighted average of your Spanish school marks and the mark you achieved in the general phase of your PAU examination). A CAU of between 8.50 and 8.99 results in a 40% cut. A CAU of between 9.00 and 10.00 results in a 60% cut. The discount applies to every academic year except the final semester. You renew it each year by maintaining your grades at a good level.

Who can apply

• Level: You are starting a Bachelor’s degree programme (single or double degree) at the UFV as a new student.
• Field of study: All degree programmes except medicine and dentistry, for which there are separate scholarships.
• School grades: You have completed your Bachillerato (Spanish upper secondary education) in 2026 with an average mark of at least 8.50 in the school years 1 and 2.
• Entry exam: You have passed the PAU (Spanish university entrance examination) in the standard 2026 procedure with a CAU of at least 8.50. Both marks must be at least 8.50; if either mark is lower, you will not be eligible for the discount.
• Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply. If you have studied abroad, please apply with a recognised Bachillerato qualification or the UNED certificate.
• Disability: Upon presentation of a valid disability card, the minimum mark is reduced by 0.25 points (degree of disability 33–65%) or by 0.50 points (degree of disability 66–100%).

How to apply

Apply online. First-year students must apply via the ‘Portal del Candidato’ by 30 June 2026. Students already enrolled must apply by 25 July 2026 via the ‘Portal Universitario’. A committee will make the decision and inform you of the result. Your place will be confirmed upon enrolment.

How realistic are your chances?

There is no set number of places available for this scholarship. Awarding the scholarship depends on meeting a clear academic threshold. So, if you clearly meet both the school average mark of 8.50 and the CAU score of 8.50, your chances are good. The requirements are high, and awards are subject to the available budget. You should therefore apply within the application window and ensure that both your grades meet the requirements.
